What is Dental Sedation?
Dental sedation refers to a variety of techniques used to make patients more comfortable during dental procedures. Our dentists can help you determine if you would be a good candidate for sedation.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous oxide can be used during dental cleanings and other procedures to help patients feel calm and at ease. It enables patients to stay awake and communicate throughout the procedure. This medication is inhaled through the nose and mouth, and is a colourless gas that may be either odourless or slightly sweet-smelling.
IV Sedation
IV sedatives allow for the deepest level of sedation without general anesthesia by being administered directly into the bloodstream. Our dental team will attach you to a monitor so that the dentist can keep track of vital signs. This method is ideal for patients undergoing longer procedures or those with higher levels of dental anxiety.
